Skin overview
In Field-Tested the grey and white spray camouflage starts to share the blade with exposed metal along the edge, the tip and the serrated spine. The worn areas follow the lines of the knife, which gives Scorched a used, field-tool character rather than a painted showpiece look. The centre of the blade still carries the recognisable cloudy pattern.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The blade is covered in a spray-painted, sun-dappled camouflage of smoky grey, off-white and pale blue-grey patches, with darker sooty smudges near the spine and the tip. The pattern runs across the whole blade, including the serrated spine, the long fuller groove and the tanto point, while the guard ring keeps a muted steel-grey tone.
Bare steel forms clear strips along the cutting edge, at the tip and across the serrated spine. Light wear starts to reach the edges of the fuller. In game the worn outline is visible on inspection, but the blade still reads as grey-white camouflage. The middle of the blade and the area near the guard keep most of the pattern.
Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Huntsman Knife | Scorched is 0.06–0.8; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (31% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
It is the rare special item of Huntsman Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 11, 2014) — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies at the clean end of a grade keep noticeably more paint on the edge and tip.
- Inspect the tip, cutting edge and serrated spine first, as these lose the spray paint earliest.
- Look at how the camouflage patches fall on the visible side of the blade, because the light and dark areas sit differently on each copy.
- Decide whether you want the StatTrak™ version and check the name tag if one is applied.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who like a used, field-tool look on the Huntsman.
- Buyers who want the pattern still readable without paying for a cleaner grade.
- Conclusion: a practical everyday choice with visible character.
