Skin overview

★ Nomad Knife | Scorched is a Covert knife finished in spray-paint, with soft smoky blotches of charcoal, grey and pale beige across the blade and frame. In Factory New the blotches keep their soft edges and the tones stay even, so the finish reads as a calm, muted haze. The Factory New range on this skin is narrow, which keeps such copies uncommon.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The blade is covered in soft, overlapping blotches of charcoal, mid grey and pale beige, sprayed so that the transitions stay blurred. The ground edge bevel stays a lighter silver and contrasts with the smoky flat of the blade.

The spray-paint is intact across the blade, frame and grip. The tip, edge and spine show no visible marks. In game the smoky blotches look soft and even at any distance.

Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07

The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Nomad Knife | Scorched is 0.06–0.8; Factory New takes the 0.06–0.07 segment (1% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade keep noticeably more paint.
  • Look at the placement of the dark blotches on the blade, as the pattern seed changes how the smoky patches fall.
  • Inspect the tip, edge and spine first, because these areas lose paint before the rest of the knife.
  • Check for a name tag and a StatTrak™ counter if either matters to you.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the cleanest possible version of this finish.
  • Players who want the soft smoky pattern without any metal showing.
  • A choice for those who value an intact finish over everything else.
