Skin overview

Scorched gives the Nomad Knife a muted look built on blurred charcoal and beige patches rather than bright colour. In Field-Tested the paint starts to thin along the spine, tip and edge, and bare metal shows through in small spots. The smoky pattern still reads clearly on the flat of the blade.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The blade is covered in soft, overlapping blotches of charcoal, mid grey and pale beige, sprayed so that the transitions stay blurred. The ground edge bevel stays a lighter silver and contrasts with the smoky flat of the blade.

Paint thins on the tip, edge and spine, with small spots of bare metal showing. Early scuffs can start on the raised parts of the frame near the pivot. The blotches on the flat of the blade and the grip insert still read clearly in game.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade keep noticeably more paint.
  • Look at the placement of the dark blotches on the blade, as the pattern seed changes how the smoky patches fall.
  • Inspect the tip, edge and spine first, because these areas lose paint before the rest of the knife.
  • Check for a name tag and a StatTrak™ counter if either matters to you.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want a muted knife that still shows its pattern clearly.
  • Those who like light edge wear that suits the smoky palette.
  • A practical everyday choice.
