Skin overview
Recognisable by its narrow golden blade and the iridescent blue bolster and pommel, the Stiletto Knife | Case Hardened keeps its character well into the middle grades. In Field-Tested the heat colours are still clearly readable, while light scratches start to show on the blade, mostly towards the edge and tip. It is a practical middle ground for players who want the full colour scheme in hand.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The long, narrow blade is mostly golden yellow, with blue and violet heat tints gathering near the tip and at the base by the bolster. The bolster, guard and pommel show the strongest iridescent blue-purple tones, giving the knife a bright accent at both ends of the handle.
Light scratches become visible along the edge and towards the tip, and some begin to reach the flat of the blade. The heat colours lose a little of their brightness but the gold and blue areas are still clearly separated. The bolster and pommel may show minor rubbing on their raised parts. In game the knife still reads as colourful, with wear noticeable mainly in the inspect animation.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Stiletto Knife | Case Hardened is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying
- Look at the pattern of each specific copy, since the amount and placement of blue and gold on the blade differ from one Case Hardened knife to another.
- Check the inspect screenshots for how much blue sits on the visible side of the blade rather than only on the fittings.
- Compare the float within the wear grade, especially for scratches near the edge and tip, which wear first.
- Note whether the knife has a name tag or StatTrak™, as both change what you are buying.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want the full colour scheme for everyday use.
- Buyers looking for a balance between condition and cost.
- A practical middle option for regular play.
