Skin overview

The Boreal Forest finish turns the Talon Knife into a piece of field gear, with green and brown camo on the curved blade and a muted khaki grip. In Minimal Wear the pattern still reads as complete, and any marks are small enough to blend into the camo itself. It gives nearly the same look as the top grade at a lower entry point.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The curved blade is covered in a forest camouflage of olive, light green, bright moss green and dark brown patches. The pattern runs up to the tip, over the saw-tooth spine and around the row of round holes near the base.

Tiny specks of bare metal may appear on the very tip and the edge of the blade. The spine teeth and handle remain essentially clean. At normal viewing distance the camo hides these marks, and the knife reads almost the same as Factory New.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Talon Knife | Boreal Forest ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 11% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the lower end of each grade keeps more camo on the edge and tip.
  • Inspect the cutting edge, tip and spine teeth, as these lose paint first.
  • Look at the handle edges and the finger ring for chips on worn copies.
  • Confirm whether you want the StatTrak™ version and whether a name tag is applied.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a near-clean knife without paying for the top grade.
  • Owners of green-themed inventories who rarely inspect up close.
  • Conclusion: a sensible balance of look and cost.
