Skin overview

Case Hardened on the Survival Knife is recognised by its blotchy blue and gold blade and the plain dark grip bolted on with hex nuts. In Well-Worn the patina is muted, and scratches spread from the edges onto the flat of the blade. The pattern can still be made out, but it reads as weathered steel rather than a fresh heat-treated surface.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The finish covers only the blade: the tip and the gut hook area carry blue, violet and pinkish patches, which fade into gold and pale yellow toward the slotted middle and the guard. The serrated section near the base of the blade and the cut-out slot show the same warm, mottled metal.

Scratches cover the edges and spread onto the flat of the blade, including the area around the slot. The patina is muted and the blue zones lose part of their depth. In game the knife looks noticeably weathered, though the pattern is still recognisable. The handle shows only light marks and keeps its dark colour.

Well-Worn quality — float range 0.38–0.45

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the pattern on both sides of the blade, since the amount and placement of blue differ from copy to copy.
  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, especially near the borders between grades.
  • Inspect the cutting edge, the tip and the serrations, as they show scratches first.
  • Check whether the copy has StatTrak™ or a name tag if that matters to you.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Players who like the weathered look of used steel.
  • Buyers who want this knife and finish with a lower entry threshold.
  • A fit for those who value character over a clean surface.
