Skin overview

Night Stripe is recognisable by its subdued grey-blue tones and the soft-edged stripes of a tape-mask spray job. In Field-Tested bare steel starts to show along the cutting edge, the spine and the gut hook, which gives the knife a used, working look. Because the paint is dark and plain, this wear fits the tactical theme rather than spoiling it.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The blade is painted in a dark slate blue-grey, with slightly darker and lighter stripes from the tape mask running across it and faint warmer tints near the gut hook. The serrated section stays bright, so the silver teeth stand out against the matte paint.

Bare steel shows clearly along the cutting edge, the spine, the tip and around the gut hook. The centre of the blade still carries most of the paint and the stripe pattern stays readable. On the handle the first scuffs appear on the raised ridges and the bolts. In game the knife looks worn at the edges but still dark overall.

What to check before buying

  • Check the float position inside the grade, since paint loss on the edges and gut hook grows noticeably within one wear.
  • Look at the tip, spine and serrations in the inspect view, as these show wear first.
  • Compare the handle ridges and bolts on worn copies, because some keep far more paint there than others.
  • Decide whether you need StatTrak™, as both versions exist and look the same.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who like a used tactical look on a dark knife.
  • Buyers looking for a knife where light edge wear fits the theme.
  • Conclusion: a practical everyday choice that keeps the character of the skin.
