Skin overview

Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 is a Restricted pistol skin with a hydrographic of a stormy sea laid over a red metallic base coat. Waves and painted figures sit in darker red tones on the brighter metal, so the pattern shows up when you look closely rather than from a distance. In Factory New the metallic sheen is at its strongest and the fine lines of the waves stay sharp across the whole pistol.

Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The whole pistol is coated in a red metallic base, and a darker red hydrographic of a stormy sea runs over the slide, frame and grip. The slide shows rolling wave lines and a painted figure near the rear, while the grip carries a larger figure surrounded by leaf-like shapes. Grey, stone-like patches appear on the front of the slide, the barrel area and around the trigger guard, adding texture to the red. Because the pattern is built on close tones, it reads as solid red from a distance and reveals its detail up close. On worn copies the front edge of the slide, the top ridges and the corners of the frame lose the finish first, followed by the raised parts of the grip.

The red metallic coat is even and glossy from the muzzle to the base of the grip. The wave lines and figures keep crisp edges, including the fine detail on the grip. In game the pistol shows a strong red sheen and the pattern is visible when inspecting. Nothing is worn.

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, dark gold and black stickers blend well with the red metallic base and keep the subtle look intact. Placing stickers on the flat side of the slide avoids covering the figure on the grip.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the front of the slide and the edges show the difference first.
  • Inspect the grip figure and the slide detail, as the subtle pattern loses readability quickly with wear.
  • Check whether the copy is a Souvenir version, because it comes with its own applied stickers.
  • Look at any stickers or name tag and decide whether they fit the red colour scheme.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the metallic sheen and pattern detail at their best.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean base for red or gold sets.
  • The pick for those who value the finest detail of this subtle finish.
