Skin overview

Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 is a Restricted pistol skin with a hydrographic of a stormy sea laid over a red metallic base coat. Waves and painted figures sit in darker red tones on the brighter metal, so the pattern shows up when you look closely rather than from a distance. In Factory New the metallic sheen is at its strongest and the fine lines of the waves stay sharp across the whole pistol.

Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The whole pistol is coated in a red metallic base, and a darker red hydrographic of a stormy sea runs over the slide, frame and grip. The slide shows rolling wave lines and a painted figure near the rear, while the grip carries a larger figure surrounded by leaf-like shapes.

The red metallic coat is even and glossy from the muzzle to the base of the grip. The wave lines and figures keep crisp edges, including the fine detail on the grip. In game the pistol shows a strong red sheen and the pattern is visible when inspecting. Nothing is worn.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Sunset Storm 弐 is 0–0.75; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (9% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Rising Sun Collection with 16 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, dark gold and black stickers blend well with the red metallic base and keep the subtle look intact. Placing stickers on the flat side of the slide avoids covering the figure on the grip.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the front of the slide and the edges show the difference first.
  • Inspect the grip figure and the slide detail, as the subtle pattern loses readability quickly with wear.
  • Check whether the copy is a Souvenir version, because it comes with its own applied stickers.
  • Look at any stickers or name tag and decide whether they fit the red colour scheme.

Who should buy Factory New

  • Collectors who want the metallic sheen and pattern detail at their best.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean base for red or gold sets.
  • The pick for those who value the finest detail of this subtle finish.
