Skin overview

Crypsis covers the FAMAS in a spray-painted mix of rust-orange, cream and brown that fits a rough, field-used look. The float range ends early for this skin, so Battle-Scarred copies keep more of the pattern than worst-grade skins with a full range. Expect worn edges and grey metal on raised parts, with the main camo still recognisable on the receiver and stock.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, carry handle, stock, pistol grip and magazine are covered in a dark brown base with scattered rust-orange leaf shapes and thin cream-coloured twig lines. The barrel and muzzle stay in plain dark metal, which frames the patterned body.

The edges and raised parts are heavily stripped, with large areas of bare metal on the carry handle, magazine and grip. Scratches cover the receiver sides and stock as well. Because the float range ends early, the camo does not disappear entirely and still reads as autumn colours at normal distance. The best-preserved areas are the middle of the receiver and the broad surface of the stock.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.55

The whole float range of FAMAS | Crypsis is 0–0.55; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.55 segment (18% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Prisma Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Prisma Case.

What it costs in each quality

Among 10 skins of the FAMAS in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 5th by price, counting from the dearest.

StatTrak™ and Souvenir

There is also a the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon tracks kills. Right now it is 4% dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Warm golds, oranges, browns and cream tones blend with the autumn palette for a cohesive craft. Matte or paper stickers along the receiver side keep the camo theme, while a single gold or holo accent stands out well against the dark brown base.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, as copies near the top of a grade look noticeably cleaner on the carry handle and magazine.
  • Look at the carry handle edge, magazine corners and grip, since these lose paint first.
  • Compare inspect screenshots, because the random spray pattern places leaves and twigs differently on each copy.
  • Check for applied stickers and a name tag, and whether the copy is StatTrak™ or Souvenir.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • The cheapest way to put this camo in your loadout.
  • Players who prefer a rough, heavily used rifle look.
  • Good value, since the short float range leaves more paint than on most worst-grade skins.
