Skin overview

G3SG1 | Demeter is a Mil-Spec Grade hydrographic finish that covers the rifle in a mosaic of teal-blue tiles split by black lines, with warm orange patches breaking up the cold palette. In Factory New the tile edges stay crisp and the orange reads bright against the blue. This is the grade for a buyer who wants the stained-glass look exactly as designed.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The handguard and receiver are covered in a mosaic of teal and deep blue tiles separated by thick black lines, with irregular orange pieces scattered mostly along the front half. The scope tube carries the same blue-and-black tiling, while the scope mount and bolt area stay dark. The barrel, muzzle, pistol grip, magazine and stock remain plain dark grey or black, which frames the painted middle section. On worn copies the paint goes first from the edges of the handguard, the top of the receiver and the ends of the scope tube, where grey metal starts to show through the tiles.

The mosaic is intact across the handguard, receiver and scope, with sharp black seams and saturated orange. Since the finish cannot be fully pristine, Factory New copies sit in a narrow band, and the cleanest ones are close to the lower end of that band. At normal distance the rifle looks fully clean. The unpainted stock, grip and magazine look the same in every grade.

Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07

The whole float range of G3SG1 | Demeter is 0.06–0.8; Factory New takes the 0.06–0.07 segment (1% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The source is Operation Bravo Case (on sale since Sep 20, 2013).

What it costs in each quality

Among 11 skins of the G3SG1 in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

StatTrak™ and Souvenir

There is also a the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon tracks kills. Right now it is 1.7× dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in blue, teal or orange tones blend with the mosaic, while black or holo stickers echo the dark seams. Placing them on the receiver side keeps the pattern on the handguard and scope visible.

What to check before buying

  • Compare float within the chosen wear, since lower values keep the scope tube and handguard edges cleaner.
  • Look at the ends of the scope tube and the front of the handguard, as these show wear first.
  • Check how much orange falls on the visible side, because the pattern placement varies between copies.
  • Note any stickers or name tag already applied and whether they suit the blue and orange palette.

Who should buy Factory New

  • Collectors who want the mosaic with sharp seams and bright orange.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean base for a colour-matched setup.
  • In short, the grade for those who want the design without compromise.
