Skin overview

This skin is a simple hex camouflage in olive and dark green for the G3SG1. In Well-Worn the finish looks field-used: the cells are broken by scuffs, and dark metal shows through along the handguard, scope and stock edges. The overall green tone still makes it recognisable in game.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The handguard, receiver and pistol grip are covered in a hex pattern of olive and sage green cells outlined in lighter green with darker gaps between them. The scope tube carries the same cell pattern, while the stock is finished in a mostly plain light olive tone.

Worn areas spread from the edges onto the handguard and scope tube, breaking up many of the cells. The stock shows clear scuffs on its edges and lower part, and the grip loses colour where the hand holds it. In game the rifle reads as faded green with dark patches. Some intact cells remain on the centre of the handguard and receiver sides.

Well-Worn quality — float range 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of G3SG1 | Green Cell is 0–0.65; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (11% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Boreal Collection with 29 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the clean end of a grade keep the scope rims and handguard edges intact longer.
• Look at the handguard edges, scope and stock corners on the inspect screen, as these show paint loss first.
• On Souvenir copies, check which stickers are applied and whether they suit the green palette.
• Check for a name tag if you prefer the default item name.
