G3SG1 | Hunter keeps its identity through shape and colour rather than detail: black metal, brown wood, no pattern to lose. In Battle-Scarred the wood is heavily abraded and the edges of the metal are worn through in many places. For players who like a rough, weathered rifle this grade delivers that look most directly.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The receiver, barrel, scope and pistol grip are finished in plain black, close to the stock look of the rifle. The handguard carries wood panels in a reddish-brown mahogany tone, split by a darker diagonal band, and the same wood covers the magazine and the stock.
The wood panels are heavily abraded, with large worn areas on the handguard, magazine and stock. The black metal is worn through along most edges and the receiver shows widespread scratching. In game the rifle looks rough and weathered, though the brown-and-black scheme is still clear. Because this grade covers a wide float span, cleaner examples keep noticeably more of the wood.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1
The float of G3SG1 | Hunter ranges from 0 to 1; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–1 — 55% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Which stickers suit it
Stickers in brown, gold, cream or black tones blend with the wood and metal without breaking the traditional look. Placements on the black receiver stand out more clearly than those on the wood panels, so a single muted sticker there often works better than several bright ones.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the condition of the wood panels changes noticeably across the range.
- Inspect the handguard panel edges and the bottom of the magazine, as these lose finish first.
- Look at the receiver and scope mount edges for lighter metal showing through the black.
- Note any stickers or name tag, and decide whether they suit the wooden look.
