G3SG1 | Hunter is a gunsmith-style finish that pairs a black base with dark wood paneling on the handguard, magazine and stock. In Factory New the wood grain is even and the reddish-brown tone stays deep, so the rifle has the look of a well-kept hunting gun. The black metal parts keep a uniform surface with no grey showing through.
Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Appearance in Factory New
The receiver, barrel, scope and pistol grip are finished in plain black, close to the stock look of the rifle. The handguard carries wood panels in a reddish-brown mahogany tone, split by a darker diagonal band, and the same wood covers the magazine and the stock. The wood grain runs along the length of the gun and gives the finish its warm, traditional character. On worn copies the panel edges, the front of the handguard, the bottom of the magazine and the butt of the stock lose finish first, while the raised edges of the black receiver and scope mount start to show lighter metal.
The wood panels are smooth with an even tone and a clearly visible grain. The black receiver, barrel and scope have no visible marks. In game the rifle looks clean and uniform at any distance. Every part, including the magazine and stock edges, is intact.

Stickers and crafts
Stickers in brown, gold, cream or black tones blend with the wood and metal without breaking the traditional look. Placements on the black receiver stand out more clearly than those on the wood panels, so a single muted sticker there often works better than several bright ones.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the condition of the wood panels changes noticeably across the range.
- Inspect the handguard panel edges and the bottom of the magazine, as these lose finish first.
- Look at the receiver and scope mount edges for lighter metal showing through the black.
- Note any stickers or name tag, and decide whether they suit the wooden look.
