Skin overview

Galil AR | Akoben is a Mil-Spec Grade spray-paint finish: dense rust-coloured wavy stripes laid over a white base across the whole rifle. In Factory New the white stays bright and the brown lines are sharp, so the striped pattern reads clearly from the muzzle to the stock. This is the cleanest version of the contrast the finish is built on.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Factory New

The finish is a white base covered with dense, wavy rust-brown stripes that run across the handguard, receiver, pistol grip, magazine and skeleton stock. The stripes curve and bend around each part, so no two sections repeat the same shape. The barrel, muzzle device and front sight keep a dark metal look with orange-rust speckles near the front. On worn copies the paint chips first on the magazine edges, the top rails, the sight and the stock corners, then spreads to the flat sides of the receiver and handguard.

The paint is intact on every part, with a bright white base and sharp brown stripes. Rails, sight and magazine edges show no chips. In game the contrast reads clearly even at a distance. Everything visible on the image matches this grade.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of Galil AR | Akoben is 0–0.75; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (9% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in brown, orange, cream or gold tones blend with the rust-and-white stripes. Dark or black stickers on the receiver side stand out cleanly against the busy pattern, while very bright multicolour designs tend to clash with it.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the lower end keep noticeably cleaner edges.
  • Look at the magazine, top rails and front sight first, as these parts lose paint before the rest of the rifle.
  • Inspect the white base on the receiver sides, because dulling there changes the contrast of the whole skin.
  • Check for applied stickers and a name tag, which can change how the striped pattern reads.

Who should buy Factory New

  • Collectors who want the sharpest white-and-rust contrast.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean base for a matching colour scheme.
  • The best choice if the clean look of the pattern matters most.
