Skin overview

Gamma Doppler gives the Glock-18 slide a dark marbled base under blue and green candy colours. The float range of this skin ends early, so Battle-Scarred is less damaged than on skins with a full range, though the slide edges, top and front are visibly worn through to metal. It keeps the recognisable colour while costing the least of all grades.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The finish covers the slide: a dark marbled base with blue, teal and green tones flowing over it under a glossy candy coat, brightening to a vivid green near the muzzle. The frame, trigger guard and textured grip stay in plain grey polymer and do not change with wear.

The slide edges, the top and the muzzle end are worn through in many places, and the rear serrations show mostly metal. Because the range stops early, the side panels still carry a good amount of blue and green. From normal distance the skin reads as a worn version of the same colour scheme rather than a different look. The grey frame looks the same as on the cleaner grades.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.5

The whole float range of Glock-18 | Gamma Doppler is 0–0.5; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.5 segment (10% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The 2021 Train Collection with 17 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Holographic and foil stickers in blue, green or silver match the candy colours of the slide. Placement on the slide works best, as the plain grey frame adds little to the craft. Warm reds and oranges contrast sharply and suit only a deliberate high-contrast craft.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at how the blue and green tones fall on the visible side of the slide, since the pattern placement differs between copies.
  • Check the slide edges and the muzzle end first, as these lose the coating earliest.
  • Compare the float position within the grade, because low-float copies of a grade can look noticeably cleaner.
  • For Souvenir copies, check that the pre-applied stickers suit the colours of the slide.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • The cheapest entry into this Covert Glock-18.
  • Players who know the short float range leaves more colour than usual on this grade.
