Show allAllSkin overview
Battle-Scarred Sleet has heavy chipping across the gun, with much of the white paint gone from exposed parts. The skin's float range stops short of the most damaged values, so the camouflage does not disappear completely. It reads as a rough, dark grey machine gun with fragments of the frosty pattern left on the larger panels.
Item type: machinegun. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The receiver, top cover and long barrel are covered in an angular grayscale camouflage of white, pale grey and charcoal patches that resembles frost or sleet. The box magazine carries the same pattern on its large flat sides, which makes it the most visible part of the skin.
Large areas of paint are gone from the barrel, the muzzle, the receiver top and the magazine corners. Fragments of the white pattern remain mainly in the middle of the magazine sides and on flatter receiver panels. Since the float range ends below the heaviest values, the camouflage is reduced but not erased. At a distance the gun reads as dark grey with pale flecks.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.7
The whole float range of M249 | Sleet is 0–0.7; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.7 segment (36% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

Which stickers suit it
White, silver, black and holo stickers blend with the grayscale camouflage for a calm winter-themed craft. A single bright accent, such as red or ice blue, stands out well against the neutral paint on the receiver. The flat sides of the box magazine are the most visible spot for placement.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within its wear grade, since chipping on the magazine corners grows noticeably towards the dirtier end.
- Look at the sides of the box magazine first, because they are the largest painted surface and show the condition best.
- The pattern is a uniform camouflage, so the pattern seed matters little and does not need a premium.
- Souvenir copies come with stickers already applied, so check whether they suit you before buying.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Players who want the most worn, gritty version of the skin.
- The cheapest way to put Sleet on the M249 in your inventory.
- Conclusion: suits those who like a heavily used look with only traces of the pattern.
