Skin overview

Dark Age suits a worn look better than most bright finishes: the grey medieval ornament on dark metal already resembles aged inlay. In Field-Tested the skin gains light scratches on the protruding parts, which adds to that old-weapon feel rather than spoiling it. This is the most worn grade the skin comes in, so even these copies stay fairly tidy.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver, upper rail and handguard are covered in a dark gunmetal base with a dense grey metallic ornament of stars, crosses, rosettes and thin filigree lines. The same pattern continues onto the vertical foregrip, the pistol grip and the long magazine, so the whole lower half reads as one engraved surface.

Field-Tested shows light scratches along the receiver top, the muzzle, the front of the foregrip and the lower edges of the magazine. The fine filigree lines thin out slightly in these spots, while the flat sides of the receiver and the middle of the grips keep the pattern intact. In game the gun reads as darker and more weathered, which fits the aged-metal theme. Because the range stops early in this grade, heavy wear does not appear.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.22

The whole float range of MP9 | Dark Age is 0–0.22; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.22 segment (32% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Silver, grey and black holo or foil stickers continue the inlaid-metal look without breaking the pattern. A single blue sticker can echo the small blue accent on the receiver. Placements along the flat sides of the receiver read best against the dense ornament.

What to look at before you buy

  • Compare the float position within the grade, since a low-float Field-Tested copy can look close to Minimal Wear.
  • Look at the top of the receiver and the muzzle end, as these edges show wear first.
  • Check the base of the magazine and the front of the foregrip for thinning of the fine ornament.
  • For Souvenir copies, check which stickers are applied and whether they suit the dark finish.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Budget buyers who want this design on their MP9 for everyday play.
  • Players who like a slightly weathered look that matches the aged-metal theme.
  • Conclusion: an entry option that still looks tidy because heavy wear is not possible.
