The MP9 | Dune Asp keeps its tan and white palette even in Battle-Scarred, but here the snake is only partly legible. Large worn areas expose the dark base on the edges and lower parts, which gives the gun a heavily abraded, dug-up look. For a skin described as an artifact from a barren world, that weathering suits the idea.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The whole MP9 is painted in a tan base with white, brush-like strokes and thinner brown lines that wind across the receiver and form the body of a snake. The pattern continues over the vertical foregrip, the pistol grip and the long magazine, where the strokes run in looser curved bands.
Heavy paint loss covers the magazine, both grips, the stock and the muzzle, leaving much of the dark base exposed. On the receiver the white strokes are broken into fragments and the brown lines are partly gone. In game the gun reads as a worn mix of tan and dark tones rather than a clear snake motif. Only the middle of the receiver sides keeps larger pieces of the original artwork.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1
The float of MP9 | Dune Asp ranges from 0 to 1; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–1 — 55% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir version
There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Stickers in sand, brown, cream or muted gold tones blend with the desert palette, while a single black or dark brown sticker echoes the rail and muzzle. Placing them on the flat side of the receiver behind the snake's strokes keeps the main artwork readable.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in a grade keeps more of the white strokes on the grips and magazine.
- Look at the bottom of the magazine and the ribbed grips first, as these lose paint before the receiver does.
- See how much of the snake is visible on the receiver side in the inspect view, because pattern placement shifts the strokes across the body.
- Check any applied stickers and name tag, as they change how the sand palette reads.
