Skin overview

MP9 | Dune Asp is an Industrial Grade SMG finish with a snake painted in white calligraphy-style strokes over a tan base. In Factory New the strokes have crisp edges and the brown accents between them stay sharp, so the snake's coils read clearly along the receiver. This grade suits anyone who wants the brushwork to look exactly as painted.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Appearance in Factory New

The whole MP9 is painted in a tan base with white, brush-like strokes and thinner brown lines that wind across the receiver and form the body of a snake. The pattern continues over the vertical foregrip, the pistol grip and the long magazine, where the strokes run in looser curved bands. The folding stock and its arm carry the same sandy colour with fainter streaks, while the top rail, charging handle and muzzle tip stay dark. On worn copies the paint goes first from the muzzle edge, the ribbed grips, the base of the magazine and the end of the stock, then the white strokes thin out on the raised edges of the receiver.

The tan base and white strokes are fully intact on every part, including the muzzle edge and the bottom of the magazine. Brown lines between the strokes stay crisp and the snake shape is complete. In game the gun reads as a clean sand-coloured SMG with clear pale patterning. Nothing on the grips or stock shows wear.

Souvenir version

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in sand, brown, cream or muted gold tones blend with the desert palette, while a single black or dark brown sticker echoes the rail and muzzle. Placing them on the flat side of the receiver behind the snake's strokes keeps the main artwork readable.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in a grade keeps more of the white strokes on the grips and magazine.
  • Look at the bottom of the magazine and the ribbed grips first, as these lose paint before the receiver does.
  • See how much of the snake is visible on the receiver side in the inspect view, because pattern placement shifts the strokes across the body.
  • Check any applied stickers and name tag, as they change how the sand palette reads.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the white calligraphy strokes with clean edges on every part.
  • Sticker crafters who need an unworn sand base to build a desert-themed set.
  • The cleanest version of the artwork for players who notice detail in the inspect view.
