Skin overview

Desert-Strike is built on contrast: a dark machine-gun frame broken up by tan blocks and lines. In Field-Tested the light parts start to show scuffs at the edges, giving the gun a used, field-issue character. The overall scheme stays clearly readable in game.

Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver and barrel are painted in a dark graphite-olive with a subtle mottled texture, crossed by thin tan stripes and small stencilled markings near the rear. The muzzle brake, carry handle, vertical foregrip and pistol grip are finished in light tan.

Wear spreads to the foregrip, magazine corners and the carry handle, where tan paint shows visible scuffs. The thin receiver stripes start to look slightly broken. In game the colour scheme is still clear, with only the light edges looking rubbed. The dark body and stock hold up well.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Negev | Desert-Strike is 0–0.5; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (46% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Negev | Desert-Strike belongs to The Breakout Collection, which holds 14 skins.

It drops from Operation Breakout Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 23, 2014).

Which stickers suit it

Gold, tan, black and muted olive stickers match the desert scheme. Placing them on the dark receiver keeps the contrast with the tan parts intact.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float position within the wear grade, since the tan parts show the difference most clearly.
  • Inspect the muzzle brake, carry handle and foregrip, where the light paint wears first.
  • Look at the receiver stripes, which lose their sharpness on more worn copies.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the dark receiver looks.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want a readable design at a lower cost.
  • Those who like a used, field-issue look on a machine gun.
  • A practical everyday option.
