Skin overview

The skin pairs a dark, slightly mottled body with sand-coloured parts and a few stencilled details. At Minimal Wear the contrast between tan and black reads the same as on a fresh copy. Small marks appear only on close inspection, which makes this grade a practical alternative to Factory New.

Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver and barrel are painted in a dark graphite-olive with a subtle mottled texture, crossed by thin tan stripes and small stencilled markings near the rear. The muzzle brake, carry handle, vertical foregrip and pistol grip are finished in light tan.

Tiny scratches may appear on the tips of the muzzle brake and the edges of the carry handle. The receiver stripes, magazine panel and grips remain clean. At normal distance in game it is practically indistinguishable from Factory New. Copies near the lower end of the grade look fresh even in inspect.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Negev | Desert-Strike is 0–0.5; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (16% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Negev | Desert-Strike belongs to The Breakout Collection, which holds 14 skins.

The source is Operation Breakout Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 23, 2014).

Which stickers suit it

Gold, tan, black and muted olive stickers match the desert scheme. Placing them on the dark receiver keeps the contrast with the tan parts intact.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float position within the wear grade, since the tan parts show the difference most clearly.
  • Inspect the muzzle brake, carry handle and foregrip, where the light paint wears first.
  • Look at the receiver stripes, which lose their sharpness on more worn copies.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the dark receiver looks.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a near-new look without paying for the top grade.
  • Sticker crafts where minor edge marks will not be noticed.
  • A sensible balance of looks and cost.
