Skin overview

Sawed-Off | Sage Spray is a Consumer Grade shotgun finish with freehand spray paint in sandy beige and muted sage green, broken by soft blotches across the whole gun. In Factory New the blotches keep their soft edges, the beige stays even and the ribbed fore-end reads as one clean surface. This is the tidiest version of a deliberately rough, improvised camouflage.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Appearance in Factory New

The base of the finish is a light sandy beige, covered with soft, blurred sage-green and grey patches that run across the barrel shroud, receiver and stock. The ribbed pump fore-end and the muzzle carry warmer reddish-brown streaks, and the butt of the stock has a similar rusty tint. Parts of the receiver and the top of the barrel show dark steel and light metal strips, while the trigger guard stays bright metal. The pattern has no fixed motif and repeats as random spray marks, so all copies look much alike. On worn copies the paint goes first from the muzzle, the ribs of the fore-end, the receiver edges and the end of the stock.

Because the float range of this skin starts inside the Factory New band, all Factory New copies sit close to its upper limit. The paint is intact on every part, from the muzzle to the end of the stock. The reddish streaks on the fore-end are part of the artwork, not damage. In game the gun looks clean and evenly coloured.

Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07

Which stickers suit it

Muted stickers in sand, olive, brown or off-white blend into the desert palette. Placements on the receiver side work best, as the beige there gives a calm background. A single dark or rusty-red sticker can echo the warm streaks on the fore-end.

What to check before buying

• Look at the muzzle and the fore-end ribs, as they show wear first on this finish.
• Do not pay extra for pattern, since the random spray marks make copies look nearly identical.
• Check whether the copy is a Souvenir, as that version carries tournament stickers applied at drop.
• Compare floats within the grade, because a low float in Field-Tested looks close to Minimal Wear.
