Skin overview

Atheris works on contrast: a vivid green and blue snake on a dark body. In Field-Tested that contrast holds, but scuffs appear along the stock edges, the scope rings and the front of the barrel, and some scales lose their crispness. The snake is still recognisable at a glance, which makes this grade a sensible middle ground.

Item type: sniper rifle. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver and stock carry the main artwork: a bush viper with glowing green and teal scales coils along the side of the receiver with its head turned towards the barrel, and its body continues across the stock over a dark blue-black base. The barrel is mostly plain dark grey-green and ends in a muzzle brake with blue trim and a neon green ring at the tip.

Scuffs become visible on the muzzle brake, the scope rings, the lower edge of the stock and the butt. The black paint near the edges of the receiver starts to thin, and some scales along the snake's outline lose their sharpness. The snake's head and the centre of its body still look clean, so in game the design reads well.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in green, teal, blue or black, especially holo and foil versions, match the viper and the neon accents. Placing them on the barrel side or near the rear of the stock keeps the snake's head on the receiver visible.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the grade, since copies near the cleaner end look noticeably better.
• Inspect the viper on the side of the receiver, as its scale detail is what suffers once wear spreads beyond the edges.
• Look at the muzzle tip and the scope rings, because the neon green accents there are the first to show marks.
• Note any stickers or name tag already applied and whether they cover the snake's head.
