Skin overview

The centrepiece is the viper wrapped around the receiver and stock, its bright scales set against near-black paint. At Minimal Wear the difference from a clean copy usually comes down to small marks on the edges and the muzzle that are hard to notice without close inspection. In game it gives practically the same picture as Factory New and usually costs less.

Item type: sniper rifle. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver and stock carry the main artwork: a bush viper with glowing green and teal scales coils along the side of the receiver with its head turned towards the barrel, and its body continues across the stock over a dark blue-black base. The barrel is mostly plain dark grey-green and ends in a muzzle brake with blue trim and a neon green ring at the tip.

Wear is limited to tiny marks on the tip of the muzzle, the edges of the scope rings and the corners of the stock. The viper on the receiver and the black base on the stock remain clean. At normal distance in game it is hard to tell apart from Factory New.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Atheris is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in green, teal, blue or black, especially holo and foil versions, match the viper and the neon accents. Placing them on the barrel side or near the rear of the stock keeps the snake's head on the receiver visible.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the grade, since copies near the cleaner end look noticeably better.
• Inspect the viper on the side of the receiver, as its scale detail is what suffers once wear spreads beyond the edges.
• Look at the muzzle tip and the scope rings, because the neon green accents there are the first to show marks.
• Note any stickers or name tag already applied and whether they cover the snake's head.
