Skin overview

The skin is easy to spot at any distance: a dark rifle with a bright psychedelic beast spread across the stock and a creature face near the receiver. In Minimal Wear the artwork still reads as complete, with at most fine marks on edges that are hard to find in game. It gives almost the same look as the cleanest grade at a more moderate entry point.

Item type: sniper rifle. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The stock carries most of the artwork: a dense composition of the beast in neon pink, magenta, red, orange, green and teal, with eyes and teeth worked into the curves. The receiver continues the motif in darker grey-blue tones, showing a creature face just ahead of the stock.

Small marks may appear on the edges of the stock and around the butt, usually only noticeable on inspection. The main composition on the stock and the creature face on the receiver remain complete. At normal distance in game it is practically indistinguishable from Factory New. The barrel and fittings still look clean.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Hyper Beast is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir AWP | Hyper Beast belongs to The Falchion Collection, which holds 16 skins.

It drops from Falchion Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Holographic and foil stickers in pink, magenta, green or teal match the neon palette of the stock. Placing them on the dark receiver or barrel keeps the artwork visible, while black or dark grey stickers give a quieter contrast.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in Field-Tested looks much closer to Minimal Wear than a high one.
• Inspect the stock edges, the butt and the lower curve of the stock, as these parts lose paint first.
• Look at the creature face on the receiver to see how much detail is left on worn copies.
• Check applied stickers and the name tag, and decide whether they add to the look or hide the artwork.

• Players who want a near-clean look in game at a lower cost.
• Sticker crafters for whom tiny edge marks do not matter.
