Skin overview

AWP | Snake Camo in Battle-Scarred is the most worn version of this tan snakeskin camouflage: large areas of paint are gone, and grey metal breaks through across the scope, receiver and stock edges. The brown outlines survive in patches, so the snake motif can still be made out. The look is that of an old, heavily used field rifle.

Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, scope body and thumbhole stock are painted in a sand-tan base with irregular darker brown patches, each outlined by a freehand line and filled with a fine snakeskin scale texture. The long barrel, muzzle brake, scope rings and bipod stay in dark unpainted metal, which frames the camo and keeps the rifle looking utilitarian.

Large areas of paint are gone from the scope, receiver and stock edges, and grey metal dominates those parts. The scale texture is largely lost and the brown outlines survive only in fragments. In game the rifle looks heavily worn, with the camo broken up. Some tan and brown remains on the flat sides of the stock, so the pattern does not disappear completely.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.8

The whole float range of Souvenir AWP | Snake Camo is 0.06–0.8; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.8 segment (47% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir AWP | Snake Camo belongs to The Dust Collection, which holds 9 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Earthy browns, sand, olive and matte gold stickers blend with the tan snakeskin camo for a cohesive military look. A single dark or black sticker on the receiver side stands out well against the light base, while bright neon colours tend to clash with the muted palette.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the scope and receiver edges show the difference first.
  • Inspect the thumbhole and stock rims on worn copies to see how much bare metal shows through.
  • Souvenir copies come with stickers already applied, so make sure they fit the look you want.
  • Look at any name tag and existing stickers, as they change how the plain camo reads.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Players looking for the most affordable entry into this skin.
  • Those who enjoy a battered, old field-rifle look with metal showing through.
  • Best for buyers who value atmosphere over a clean finish.
