Skin overview

AWP | Snake Camo is a field-style camouflage AWP: a sand-tan base covered with darker brown snakeskin patches, each one outlined by hand. In Factory New the stencilled scale texture inside the patches is crisp and the outlines stay sharp from the scope to the stock. Factory New copies sit only in a narrow band at the very top of the float range, so this grade shows the camo at its cleanest.

Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver, scope body and thumbhole stock are painted in a sand-tan base with irregular darker brown patches, each outlined by a freehand line and filled with a fine snakeskin scale texture. The long barrel, muzzle brake, scope rings and bipod stay in dark unpainted metal, which frames the camo and keeps the rifle looking utilitarian.

The paint is complete on every painted part, and the freehand outlines and scale texture are sharp. The scope, receiver and stock show no chips. In game the tan and brown camo reads evenly across the whole rifle. Differences from Minimal Wear are noticeable only up close in inspect.

Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07

The float of Souvenir AWP | Snake Camo ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Factory New quality covers 0.06–0.07 — 1% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Dust Collection with 9 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Earthy browns, sand, olive and matte gold stickers blend with the tan snakeskin camo for a cohesive military look. A single dark or black sticker on the receiver side stands out well against the light base, while bright neon colours tend to clash with the muted palette.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the scope and receiver edges show the difference first.
  • Inspect the thumbhole and stock rims on worn copies to see how much bare metal shows through.
  • Souvenir copies come with stickers already applied, so make sure they fit the look you want.
  • Look at any name tag and existing stickers, as they change how the plain camo reads.

Who should buy Factory New

  • Collectors who want the camo with the sharpest outlines and scale texture.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean tan base for a themed military build.
  • The choice for those who want this skin in its cleanest form.
