Skin overview
In Field-Tested the purple flame Desert Eagle keeps its overall colour scheme, but the pearlescent layer starts to break up along the edges. Grey metal shows through on the top of the slide and around the muzzle, while the flank flames and the grip stay readable. It is a balanced middle grade for someone who wants the look without paying for a clean finish.
Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The base of the whole pistol is a pale lavender pearlescent coat with purple, pink and light blue flame shapes running along the slide and frame. On the slide and barrel the flames stretch toward the muzzle, which is painted bright violet, while greyish mauve areas give the pattern depth.
Visible chips appear along the top of the slide, around the muzzle and on the rear serrations. The trigger guard edges begin to show grey metal, and the pearl sheen is slightly dulled. The flames on the sides of the frame and on the grip are still mostly whole. At normal distance the skin reads clearly, with wear noticeable mainly from the player's view of the slide.
Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Firebreathing is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Dead Hand Collection with 17 skins in total.
The source is Sealed Dead Hand Terminal.

Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Holo stickers in purple, pink, light blue or silver tones match the pearlescent flames best. A single sticker on the slide flank keeps the flame lines readable, while dark or warm-coloured stickers stand out against the lavender base.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low value keeps more pearlescent paint on the top of the slide.
- Look at the muzzle face and slide edges in the inspect view, as these are the first parts to lose colour.
- On Field-Tested and worse copies, compare how much of the flame pattern is left on the slide flanks and grip.
- Check applied stickers and name tags, because they change how the clean lavender surface looks.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who want the purple flames in game at a moderate cost.
- Buyers who do not mind some metal on the top of the slide.
- A balanced everyday option for using the skin regularly.
