Skin overview
The lavender and cyan flame artwork of Firebreathing is still almost fully intact in Minimal Wear. Any marks are tiny and sit on the sharpest edges, where they are hard to spot without zooming in. For the buyer this grade gives nearly the same pearlescent look as a pristine copy.
Item type: pistol. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The base of the whole pistol is a pale lavender pearlescent coat with purple, pink and light blue flame shapes running along the slide and frame. On the slide and barrel the flames stretch toward the muzzle, which is painted bright violet, while greyish mauve areas give the pattern depth.
Wear is limited to small specks on the muzzle edge and the top corners of the slide. The flames on the flanks and grip remain untouched. In game these marks are practically invisible, and the pistol looks the same as a Factory New copy. Only close inspection shows the difference.
Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir Desert Eagle | Firebreathing is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Dead Hand Collection with 17 skins in total.
It drops from Sealed Dead Hand Terminal.
What it costs in each quality
Among 8 skins of the Desert Eagle in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin ranks 6th by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Holo stickers in purple, pink, light blue or silver tones match the pearlescent flames best. A single sticker on the slide flank keeps the flame lines readable, while dark or warm-coloured stickers stand out against the lavender base.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low value keeps more pearlescent paint on the top of the slide.
- Look at the muzzle face and slide edges in the inspect view, as these are the first parts to lose colour.
- On Field-Tested and worse copies, compare how much of the flame pattern is left on the slide flanks and grip.
- Check applied stickers and name tags, because they change how the clean lavender surface looks.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want a near-pristine look and accept tiny edge marks.
- Sticker crafters, since the flanks where stickers go are still clean.
- A sensible alternative to Factory New with almost no visible difference.
