Skin overview

BorDeux in Battle-Scarred keeps its basic idea, grey pistols with plum grips, but shows it through heavy wear. Large areas of bare steel appear on the slides and frames, and the purple on the grips is rubbed through at the edges. It is the roughest and most worn-looking version of the skin.

Item type: pistol. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

Both pistols are finished in gunmetal grey across the slides, barrels and frames, with a slightly textured metallic surface. The grips are painted plum purple and show a fine wood-grain pattern with the screws left in dark metal.

Large areas of bare steel cover the slides, barrels and frames, especially along the top and front. The trigger guards and small parts are heavily scratched. The purple grips are rubbed through at the edges, with the colour remaining mainly in the middle. In game the pistols look rough and weathered, with the purple accent reduced but still present.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.8

The whole float range of Souvenir Dual Berettas | BorDeux is 0–0.8; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.8 segment (44% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Radiant Collection with 28 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Among 7 skins of the Dual Berettas in the Consumer Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 2nd by price, counting from the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in purple, burgundy, silver or black match the plum grips and grey metal without breaking the restrained scheme. Placements on the slides work best, since the grey surface gives the stickers a calm background.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies at the cleaner end of a grade show fewer scuffs on the slide edges.
  • Look at the slide edges and muzzles first, as these parts lose paint before the rest of the finish.
  • Inspect the outer edges of the plum grips on worn copies to see how much purple is left.
  • Check for applied stickers or a name tag, since they change the look and the value of a particular copy.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Budget entry players who just want a skin on their Dual Berettas.
  • Fans of heavily weathered finishes with bare steel showing.
  • The roughest version of the skin, chosen for its worn character.
