Skin overview

Neural Net in Battle-Scarred is the most worn version of the yellow-and-shard FAMAS. The float range of this skin is capped, so even this grade keeps a good share of the yellow and the dark pattern. Bare metal shows on the edges and raised parts, giving the rifle a rough, scuffed look.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, carry handle and stock are coated in translucent yellow over a metallic base, scattered with angular grey, olive and black shards that create a fractured, net-like pattern. The carry handle shows larger grey patches, while the stock is densely covered with dark fragments.

The carry handle, stock edges, barrel and receiver corners show broad areas of bare metal. Because the float range is capped, the yellow and dark shards still cover a good part of the receiver and stock. In game the gun reads as heavily scuffed yellow rather than plain metal. The overall colour scheme remains recognisable.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.6

The whole float range of Souvenir FAMAS | Neural Net is 0–0.6; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.6 segment (25% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Black, dark grey and gold stickers sit naturally on the yellow body and echo the shard pattern. Placements on the receiver side under the carry handle and on the stock read best against the yellow coat. Strong reds or pinks tend to clash with the yellow-and-grey scheme.

What to check before buying

• Look at the float position within the wear grade, since copies near the cleaner end keep noticeably more yellow on the carry handle and stock.
• Inspect the top of the carry handle and the muzzle, as these are the first areas where the metal base shows through.
• Check the pattern placement on the receiver and stock, because the shard layout shifts between copies and some show more dark fragments than others.
• Note any applied stickers or name tag and decide whether they fit your plans for the rifle.
