Skin overview

Neural Net pairs a translucent yellow coat with a scattered pattern of dark angular pieces. In Field-Tested the base metal starts to show through on the edges of the carry handle, the stock and the muzzle. From a normal distance the gun still reads as clearly yellow and patterned, with a slightly used character.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver, carry handle and stock are coated in translucent yellow over a metallic base, scattered with angular grey, olive and black shards that create a fractured, net-like pattern. The carry handle shows larger grey patches, while the stock is densely covered with dark fragments.

Metal begins to show along the carry handle, the stock edges and around the muzzle, and the yellow thins near the receiver corners. The large flat areas of the receiver and stock still hold most of their colour. At normal distance the skin still reads as yellow with a dark pattern, while the wear is noticeable in inspect. The magazine and grip, already in a muted tone, change little.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir FAMAS | Neural Net is 0–0.6; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (38% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir FAMAS | Neural Net belongs to The Falchion Collection, which holds 16 skins.

The source is Falchion Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Black, dark grey and gold stickers sit naturally on the yellow body and echo the shard pattern. Placements on the receiver side under the carry handle and on the stock read best against the yellow coat. Strong reds or pinks tend to clash with the yellow-and-grey scheme.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the float position within the wear grade, since copies near the cleaner end keep noticeably more yellow on the carry handle and stock.
  • Inspect the top of the carry handle and the muzzle, as these are the first areas where the metal base shows through.
  • Check the pattern placement on the receiver and stock, because the shard layout shifts between copies and some show more dark fragments than others.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag and decide whether they fit your plans for the rifle.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want the recognisable yellow look on a CT rifle at a moderate cost.
  • Buyers who do not mind visible wear in inspect.
  • A practical pick for everyday matches.
