Skin overview

Red Jasper keeps its recognisable wine-and-gunmetal scheme in Field-Tested, but the paint starts to show its age. Lighter scuffs appear along the edges of the handguard, receiver and magazine. The worn spots fit the rough, utilitarian character of the rifle rather than spoiling it.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The handguard, receiver, magazine, pistol grip and stock are covered in a wine-red base with a faint gunmetal grey camo mottling. The barrel, flash hider, front sight, scope and scope mount stay in dark metal, framing the red body.

Visible scuffs run along the edges of the handguard, receiver and magazine, with some wear on the stock edges and grip. The red base stays dominant on the larger panels. In game the rifle still reads as red, with light streaks on the outline. The centre of the receiver and stock sides look mostly clean.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir G3SG1 | Red Jasper is 0–0.637; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (36% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Radiant Collection with 28 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

By price this skin is 5th of 6 skins Consumer Grade G3SG1 in this quality (the first being the dearest).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Gold, black and dark grey stickers sit well on the wine-red body and echo the gunmetal parts. Placements on the receiver side and stock keep stickers on the flat panels where the red is most even.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end keep tidier edges.
  • Inspect the edges of the handguard and the corners of the magazine, as they lose paint first.
  • On souvenir copies, look at the pre-applied stickers and decide whether they suit you.
  • Check for a name tag or applied stickers that change the look of the rifle.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want the full colour scheme with light edge wear.
  • Buyers who like a slightly used look on a utilitarian rifle.
  • A practical middle option for everyday play.
