Show allAllSkin overview
Shattered gives the rifle a pale, broken-glass hydrographic, and in Battle-Scarred that glass looks thoroughly chipped. Large areas of the light paint are gone, and the shard pattern shows mostly in patches around the protected parts of the body. The float range stops short of the most extreme values, so even the most worn copies keep some of the pattern.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The receiver, stock and magazine are covered in a polygonal hydrographic of white, light grey and darker grey facets that interlock like shards of broken glass. The front part of the barrel assembly and the gas tube carry the same pale pattern, while the bulky handguard, barrel, muzzle device, top rails and pistol grip stay black or dark grey.
Large areas of pale paint are gone from the magazine, the stock and the front of the weapon, exposing the darker base. The shard pattern survives as scattered fragments, mostly on the sides of the receiver and in the middle of the stock. In game the rifle looks grey and patchy rather than white. The dark handguard and grip look much the same as on cleaner copies, since they carry no pattern.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8
The float of Souvenir Galil AR | Shattered ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.8 — 47% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
The skin’s collection is The Bravo Collection with 15 skins in total.
It drops from Operation Bravo Case (on sale since Sep 20, 2013).
Price by quality
Among 4 skins of the Galil AR in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
White, silver and black stickers keep the cold monochrome look intact, while a single red or icy blue accent stands out well against the pale shards. Placements on the receiver side work best, since that area carries the most pattern and stays clean the longest.
What to look at before you buy
- Look at the float position inside the wear range, since the light paint makes scuffs more visible than on darker finishes.
- Check the magazine edges and the butt of the stock first, as these parts lose paint before the rest of the rifle.
- Compare the inspect view of several copies, because the hydrographic places the shards slightly differently on each weapon.
- Look at any applied stickers and name tag to make sure they suit the pale monochrome look.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Players looking for the cheapest entry to this skin.
- Fans of heavily worn, grey and patchy finishes.
- Conclusion: a budget pick for those who value character over a clean pattern.
