Skin overview

Shattered is a white-and-grey shard camouflage laid over the receiver, stock and magazine, with the handguard and grip left dark. After field testing the facets are still easy to read, but the pale paint starts to show darker scuffs along the edges. The rifle keeps its cold, wintry character while looking used rather than new.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver, stock and magazine are covered in a polygonal hydrographic of white, light grey and darker grey facets that interlock like shards of broken glass. The front part of the barrel assembly and the gas tube carry the same pale pattern, while the bulky handguard, barrel, muzzle device, top rails and pistol grip stay black or dark grey.

Dark scuffs appear along the edges of the magazine, the stock and the receiver corners, where the pale paint contrasts strongly with the exposed base. The facets in the middle of the stock and on the sides of the receiver remain mostly intact. In game the pattern still reads clearly, with some roughness on the outlines. Lower floats in this range look noticeably cleaner than higher ones.

The whole float range of Souvenir Galil AR | Shattered is 0.06–0.8; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (31% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

White, silver and black stickers keep the cold monochrome look intact, while a single red or icy blue accent stands out well against the pale shards. Placements on the receiver side work best, since that area carries the most pattern and stays clean the longest.

What to check before buying

• Look at the float position inside the wear range, since the light paint makes scuffs more visible than on darker finishes.
• Check the magazine edges and the butt of the stock first, as these parts lose paint before the rest of the rifle.
• Compare the inspect view of several copies, because the hydrographic places the shards slightly differently on each weapon.
• Look at any applied stickers and name tag to make sure they suit the pale monochrome look.
