Skin overview

Galil AR | Stone Cold is a Restricted rifle finish in the Gunsmith style. It pairs metallic blue paint with dark grey parts, and the designer's mark sits on the stock and magazine. In Factory New the blue keeps its full metallic sheen and every edge line stays crisp.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver, barrel shroud and front sight are painted metallic blue with darker blue shading and pale highlights along the edges. The handguard is dark grey and ribbed, framed by bright blue rings and trim.

The metallic blue is even across the receiver, magazine and handguard trim, with no breaks in the paint. The edge highlights and the mark on the stock are sharp. In game the rifle reads as a clean, glossy blue weapon. Every part of the finish looks as intended.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir Galil AR | Stone Cold is 0–0.9; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (8% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Shadow Collection with 16 skins in total.

The source is Shadow Case (on sale since Sep 15, 2015).

What it costs in each quality

Among 7 skins of the Galil AR in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin ranks 3rd by price, counting from the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Blue, silver, white and holo stickers match the cold metallic scheme. Placements on the receiver above the magazine work best, as the blue there is the largest uninterrupted area.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, because low floats in Field-Tested and Well-Worn keep noticeably more blue on the edges.
  • Inspect the magazine edges, the muzzle and the handguard rings, since these lose paint first.
  • Look at whether the designer's mark on the stock is still intact on more worn copies.
  • Review any applied stickers and name tag, and decide whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the metallic blue at its cleanest.
  • Sticker crafters who need an undamaged base.
  • Conclusion: the choice for those who value a perfect finish.
