Skin overview

Stone Cold is recognisable by its blue-painted receiver and magazine and the dark ribbed handguard. In Field-Tested the metallic blue begins to rub off along the edges and raised parts. The contrast with the bare darker metal underneath gives the rifle a used, working look.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver, barrel shroud and front sight are painted metallic blue with darker blue shading and pale highlights along the edges. The handguard is dark grey and ribbed, framed by bright blue rings and trim.

Wear is visible on the muzzle, the front sight, the magazine edges and the handguard rings, where blue gives way to dark metal. The corners of the stock begin to show light scratches. In game the rifle still reads as blue, with a slightly rubbed outline. The centre of the receiver and the stock mark mostly stay clean.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir Galil AR | Stone Cold is 0–0.9; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (26% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Shadow Collection with 16 skins in total.

It drops from Shadow Case (on sale since Sep 15, 2015).

What it costs in each quality

Among 5 skins of the Galil AR in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin ranks 2nd by price, counting from the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Blue, silver, white and holo stickers match the cold metallic scheme. Placements on the receiver above the magazine work best, as the blue there is the largest uninterrupted area.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, because low floats in Field-Tested and Well-Worn keep noticeably more blue on the edges.
  • Inspect the magazine edges, the muzzle and the handguard rings, since these lose paint first.
  • Look at whether the designer's mark on the stock is still intact on more worn copies.
  • Review any applied stickers and name tag, and decide whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want the blue look for everyday matches.
  • Buyers who like a slightly worked-in appearance.
  • Conclusion: a practical grade with clear colour and visible character.
