Skin overview

Battle-Scarred is the most worn version of the Glock-18 | Blue Fissure, with blue paint missing in patches across the slide and the frame dulled. The float range of this skin stops short of the heaviest values, so even this grade keeps a visible share of the crack pattern. It is the most rugged take on the finish and suits a weathered, worn-in look.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The slide is painted deep blue and covered with a fine black craquelure, like cracked enamel, with the blue carried down onto the muzzle face. The frame, trigger guard and grip are a muted lilac-grey with a darker network of cracks, and small blue flecks show through along the frame and the textured grip panel.

Large areas of blue are missing from the slide edges, the muzzle and the rear of the slide, and the remaining blue is dull and patchy. The grip and frame show wide scuffs, with the crack texture partly worn away on the raised parts. Since the float range ends before the heaviest values, some of the pattern survives on the flat surfaces. In game the pistol looks rough, with the blue reduced to broken patches.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.58

The whole float range of Souvenir Glock-18 | Blue Fissure is 0.06–0.58; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.58 segment (25% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Arms Deal 3 Collection with 12 skins in total.

It drops from CS:GO Weapon Case 3 (on sale since Sep 20, 2013).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Blue, white and silver stickers sit well on the blue slide and continue its cold palette. For contrast, small orange or gold accents work against the blue, while dark or grey stickers blend into the cracked frame.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the float within the chosen grade, since a lower value keeps more blue on the slide edges and muzzle.
  • Check the muzzle, the top edge of the slide and the rear serrations, as these lose paint first.
  • Inspect the grip in close-up to see whether the crack texture and blue flecks are still intact.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag, because they change the look of the slide.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Budget entry for players who want any version of this skin.
  • Fans of a heavily weathered look on the starting pistol.
  • Conclusion: the roughest and simplest way into the finish.
