Skin overview

Bock Blocks keeps its pink and violet identity even when the paint is heavily stripped. In Battle-Scarred large areas of the magazine box, receiver and stock turn to bare grey metal, and the geometric shapes break into fragments. The result is a rough, worn-out version of a bright design that some players pick on purpose.

Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver is covered in pink and lilac blocks with dark circles, stripes and rows of dots, while the barrel and small hardware stay dark gunmetal. The box magazine carries the most striking part of the design: a purple and pink checkerboard with a large concentric target on its side.

Large areas of paint are gone from the magazine box, receiver and stock, leaving bare grey metal. The checkerboard and target on the box survive only as fragments. In game the weapon reads as a grey M249 with pink and purple remnants. Only the more protected parts of the side panels keep recognisable pieces of the pattern.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir M249 | Bock Blocks is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Dead Hand Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Sealed Dead Hand Terminal.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Pink, purple, black and holographic stickers blend with the palette, while simple geometric or pastel designs keep the block theme intact. The flat side of the receiver above the magazine is the most visible spot for placement.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since copies at the clean end look noticeably better.
  • Inspect the corners of the magazine box, as the checkerboard and target lose paint there first.
  • Look at the top of the receiver and the end of the stock for grey metal showing through the pink.
  • Check for applied stickers or a name tag, which can change how the weapon looks in inspect.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players looking for the cheapest entry to this skin.
  • Fans of a rough, heavily worn look on a bright design.
