Show allAllSkin overview
In Field-Tested, M249 | Emerald Poison Dart keeps its recognisable emerald and yellow striping, but the edges start to show bare metal and the finish looks used. The busy pattern of cells and stripes hides much of the wear, so the gun still reads as green and poisonous at a glance. It is a sensible middle ground between appearance and cost.
Item type: machinegun. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The receiver and handguard are painted emerald green with rows of dark circular cells and scattered yellow speckles, while pale yellow stripes curve across the top of the receiver. The box magazine carries the boldest part of the design: a dense grid of black spots on green on one side and wide cream-yellow bands on the other.
Wear spreads along the edges of the box magazine, the top of the receiver and the outline of the stock, with dark metal showing through. Some yellow speckles on the handguard begin to fade. In game the busy cell and stripe pattern masks most of this, and the gun still reads as emerald and yellow. The flat sides of the box magazine and the middle of the stock still look clean.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir M249 | Emerald Poison Dart is 0–0.45; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (51% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir M249 | Emerald Poison Dart belongs to The Spectrum Collection, which holds 17 skins.
It drops from Spectrum Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Stickers in green, yellow, gold or black blend with the frog pattern without breaking it. The dark barrel area and the receiver above the handguard are good spots for contrasting stickers, while the striped box magazine is best left open.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in Field-Tested can look close to Minimal Wear.
- Inspect the edges of the box magazine and the receiver rails, as these lose paint first.
- Look at any applied stickers and how they sit against the yellow stripes and black cells.
- Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ or Souvenir, as both versions exist for this skin.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who use the M249 and want a bright skin at a moderate cost.
- Buyers who do not mind visible edge wear thanks to the busy pattern.
- Conclusion: a practical everyday choice.
