The frog-skin look of M249 | Emerald Poison Dart, with its green base, black spots and yellow bands, holds up almost unchanged in Minimal Wear. Any marks are small and sit on edges you rarely notice from the first-person view. For most players this grade delivers the same bright pattern as Factory New at a lower entry point.
Item type: machinegun. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The receiver and handguard are painted emerald green with rows of dark circular cells and scattered yellow speckles, while pale yellow stripes curve across the top of the receiver. The box magazine carries the boldest part of the design: a dense grid of black spots on green on one side and wide cream-yellow bands on the other.
Light scuffs may appear on the corners of the box magazine and along the receiver rails. The handguard, stock surface and stripe pattern remain clean. At normal viewing distance the difference from Factory New is hard to spot. Copies near the clean end of the grade look practically new.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir M249 | Emerald Poison Dart is 0–0.45; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (18% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir M249 | Emerald Poison Dart belongs to The Spectrum Collection, which holds 17 skins.
The source is Spectrum Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Stickers in green, yellow, gold or black blend with the frog pattern without breaking it. The dark barrel area and the receiver above the handguard are good spots for contrasting stickers, while the striped box magazine is best left open.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in Field-Tested can look close to Minimal Wear.
- Inspect the edges of the box magazine and the receiver rails, as these lose paint first.
- Look at any applied stickers and how they sit against the yellow stripes and black cells.
- Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ or Souvenir, as both versions exist for this skin.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-new look without paying for Factory New.
- Sticker crafters, since the minor edge wear is hidden in game.
- Conclusion: the best balance of appearance and value for this skin.
