Show allAllSkin overview
Hypnosis is recognisable by the large blue and dark rings centred on the magazine box and repeated along the body. In Field-Tested the rings stay readable, but chipped spots on the edges start to show bare metal and give the gun a used, working look. The bold pattern carries the design well even with this wear.
Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The finish lays wide alternating bands of pale blue and dark grey-black over the whole weapon in a concentric ring pattern. The box magazine carries the clearest set of circles, which makes it the visual centre of the skin.
Chips to bare metal become visible on the magazine corners, the top of the receiver and the sights. The stock edges start to show light wear. The ring pattern still reads clearly in first-person view, though the edges look used. The flat sides of the magazine and receiver stay mostly clean.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The float of Souvenir M249 | Hypnosis ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir M249 | Hypnosis belongs to The Gallery Collection, which holds 17 skins.
The source is Gallery Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Stickers in blue, white, black or holographic silver tones match the ring palette. Placements on the receiver side keep the magazine circles free, so the main motif stays visible.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade show fewer chips.
- Look at the magazine corners and the top of the receiver, as these edges lose paint first.
- Inspect the magazine rings in the preview, because they are the main visual point of the skin.
- Note any stickers or name tag and whether they fit the blue and black scheme.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who want the readable ring pattern for everyday use.
- Buyers who like a slightly used, working look.
- A practical middle option.
