Skin overview

Battle-Scarred is the roughest version of the finish: large patches of the orange are gone from the front of the rifle and the yellow trim survives only in fragments. It suits players who want the colour scheme at the lowest entry point and like a battered look.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and upper rail are painted amber-orange with black hardware, small markings on the lower receiver and thin yellow lines tracing the panel edges. The handguard carries a row of dark segmented plates outlined in bright yellow, and the muzzle device is black and gold with a yellow ring.

Large areas of orange are worn off the front of the rifle, and the handguard plates lose much of their yellow outlining. The receiver edges, magazine and grip show heavy scratching, and the yellow trim survives only in fragments. In game the rifle reads as darker and rougher, with the orange concentrated on the receiver centre and stock. Only the most protected surfaces keep a clean colour.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.7

The float of Souvenir M4A4 | Buzz Kill ranges from 0 to 0.7; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.7 — 36% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Glove Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Glove Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Black, gold and yellow stickers blend with the amber body, while olive or dark green ones echo the grip and magazine. Placements on the receiver and above the magazine well keep the handguard pattern visible.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the float position within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end keep the yellow trim noticeably better.
  • Check the muzzle, handguard edges and top rail on inspect, as these parts lose paint first.
  • Review applied stickers and their scrape level, because they change how the orange receiver reads.
  • Note whether the copy has a StatTrak™ counter or a name tag if either matters to you.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Budget players looking for the lowest entry into this skin.
  • Fans of heavily battered finishes.
  • Conclusion: the cheapest way to carry the colour scheme, with a rough look.
