Skin overview

Desert Storm in Battle-Scarred is the most weathered take on this sand camo, with patchy paint over exposed grey steel. The upper limit of the float range sits below the absolute maximum, so even the worst copies keep part of the brown and tan pattern. It suits players who want the cheapest version of this rifle with a rugged look.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and magazine carry the hydrographic camo: irregular brown, tan and off-white blotches over a darker base. The ribbed handguard and the stock are painted in a solid rust-brown with dark grey parts, while the flash hider, barrel and carry handle stay mostly metal.

The magazine and receiver show wide areas of exposed grey steel with camo left in patches. The handguard is worn along the ribs and the stock shows scuffs on its edges. In game the rifle reads as a rough, weathered weapon. Because the range stops short of the maximum, part of the brown pattern always remains.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8

The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Desert Storm is 0.06–0.8; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.8 segment (47% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir M4A4 | Desert Storm belongs to The Dust Collection, which holds 9 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in brown, tan, orange or muted gold blend with the desert palette, while a single white or black sticker can echo the camo contrast. Placements on the rust-brown handguard or near the receiver keep the craft tied to the colour scheme.

What to look at before you buy

  • Compare floats within the chosen grade, since a lower value keeps the magazine and receiver edges cleaner.
  • Look at the magazine first, as it is the part where the paint wears off earliest on this rifle.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, and on Souvenir copies make sure their fixed stickers suit you.
  • The camo placement varies slightly between copies, so look at the preview if the white blotch layout matters to you.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Budget entry for players who want this M4A4 at the lowest cost.
  • Fans of a rough metal-and-camo look.
  • Conclusion: the cheapest way to own Desert Storm.
