Skin overview

Evil Daimyo is defined by its strong red colour against dark grey, laid out in large angular blocks. In Field-Tested the red begins to break up along edges and on the magazine, but the overall colour scheme survives. It is a practical middle grade where the skin keeps its character without the cost of the cleanest copies.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The finish is a custom paint job in bright red and dark grey to near-black, arranged in bold angular blocks. The handguard and the front of the barrel area are mostly red, while the receiver mixes red with grey panels and faint dark markings.

Wear becomes visible on the magazine, the handguard edges and the top of the receiver, where grey starts to show through the red. The stock corners pick up light scratches. In game the rifle still reads clearly as red and black, with the scuffs noticeable mainly on the magazine in first person.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Evil Daimyo is 0–0.52; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (44% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir M4A4 | Evil Daimyo belongs to The Falchion Collection, which holds 16 skins.

What it costs in each quality

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, black, white and gold stickers fit the existing palette best. Placements on the grey parts of the receiver or the stock stand out more than stickers over the red handguard, where similar colours blend in.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade show less grey on the magazine.
  • Look at the magazine edges and the top of the receiver first, as these parts lose paint earliest.
  • Review applied stickers and any name tag, because they change how the red and black design reads.
  • Battle-Scarred copies are limited by the short float range, so compare them with Well-Worn before deciding.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players looking for a balance between appearance and cost.
  • Those who do not mind visible marks on the magazine.
  • In short: a sensible everyday version of the skin.
