Skin overview

Evil Daimyo in Battle-Scarred is the most worn version this skin can have, and its float range stops early, so the damage is limited compared with many other finishes. Red paint is scraped from edges and raised parts, leaving patches of bare grey, yet the main colour blocks remain visible. It suits a buyer who wants the design at the lowest entry point.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The finish is a custom paint job in bright red and dark grey to near-black, arranged in bold angular blocks. The handguard and the front of the barrel area are mostly red, while the receiver mixes red with grey panels and faint dark markings.

Red paint is heavily scraped from the magazine, receiver edges, handguard and stock corners, leaving wide grey areas. Because the float range ends early, the larger red blocks remain readable rather than disappearing. In game the rifle looks clearly battered, though still recognisable as this design.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.52

The whole float range of Souvenir M4A4 | Evil Daimyo is 0–0.52; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.52 segment (13% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir M4A4 | Evil Daimyo belongs to The Falchion Collection, which holds 16 skins.

The source is Falchion Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Red, black, white and gold stickers fit the existing palette best. Placements on the grey parts of the receiver or the stock stand out more than stickers over the red handguard, where similar colours blend in.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade show less grey on the magazine.
  • Look at the magazine edges and the top of the receiver first, as these parts lose paint earliest.
  • Review applied stickers and any name tag, because they change how the red and black design reads.
  • Battle-Scarred copies are limited by the short float range, so compare them with Well-Worn before deciding.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Budget entry for those who want this design at the lowest cost.
  • Fans of a battered look, helped by the limited maximum wear of this skin.
  • In short: the cheapest route to Evil Daimyo with the design still readable.
