Skin overview

Global Offensive is a camouflage paint job in blue, grey and pale tones with orange-yellow veins over most of the rifle. In Battle-Scarred large areas of the magazine, handguard and stock are worn through to grey metal, leaving the pattern in broken patches. It is the cheapest way to get the design, with a heavily used look.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The handguard, receiver and lower part of the rifle are covered in a dark navy camouflage broken by grey and white patches, with thin orange-yellow lines running across them like cracks. The magazine and pistol grip use a lighter grey-brown base with the same orange veins and small camo spots.

The magazine, handguard and stock show large areas of bare grey metal, with the camouflage left in scattered fragments. The orange lines survive mostly on the receiver and in recessed areas. In game the rifle reads as grey metal with patches of blue and occasional orange flecks. Only the central receiver sides keep a fairly complete pattern.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.7

The float of Souvenir M4A4 | Global Offensive ranges from 0 to 0.7; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.7 — 36% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Control Collection with 19 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in orange, gold or yellow pick up the veins of the pattern, while navy, white or grey designs blend into the camouflage. The grey magazine and the flat receiver side are the most readable spots for a single accent sticker.

What to check before buying

  • Check the float position within the wear, since the magazine and handguard edges change noticeably between low and high values.
  • Look at the magazine bottom and stock corners on inspect, as these lose paint first.
  • Souvenir copies come with pre-applied stickers, so check which ones they are and how worn they look.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag, as they add to the look but not always to resale value.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players who want the cheapest entry into this skin.
  • Fans of heavily worn, metal-heavy finishes.
  • Conclusion: a budget pick with a rough, battered character.
