Skin overview

The two-tone scheme of gold fittings and a dark body with lightning streaks reads the same as on a pristine copy at any normal viewing distance. Minimal Wear may show a few tiny marks on the edges of the gold parts, but they are only visible on close inspection. It is a practical way to get a nearly clean M4A4 | Sheet Lightning without paying for the top grade.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The carry handle, front sight, rear sight, handguard end caps, magazine and pistol grip are painted a warm gold. The handguard, receiver and stock are charcoal grey, with thin gold lightning streaks sprayed over the receiver and faint streaks running along the stock.

Light specks can appear on the top of the carry handle, the front sight and the lower edge of the magazine. The receiver, handguard and stock remain clean, and the lightning streaks are intact. At normal distance the difference from Factory New is practically invisible.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The float of Souvenir M4A4 | Sheet Lightning ranges from 0 to 0.75; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 11% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

The skin’s collection is The Boreal Collection with 29 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Gold, black and dark grey stickers match the scheme, especially holo or foil gold placed on the charcoal receiver. Bright colours such as blue or green clash with the warm gold and are best avoided.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the gold parts show scratches much earlier than the dark body.
• Look at the carry handle, front sight and magazine base on the inspect screen, as these show wear first.
• Make sure the lightning streaks on the receiver are still visible if they matter to you on worn copies.
• Check any applied stickers and name tag, and look for souvenir status if you prefer that variant.
