Skin overview

MAC-10 | Commuter is recognisable by its tan faux crocodile wrap and matching strap, an unusual leather-goods theme for a cheap SMG. In Battle-Scarred the wrap is heavily scraped, with large patches of bare metal on the receiver, grip and strap. It suits players who like a beaten, well-travelled look and want the cheapest way into the skin.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver is covered in a tan, sand-gold faux crocodile leather texture with visible scale grain and stitched seams running along its edges and top. The same leather continues onto the grip, while the front strap is wrapped to match, making the whole gun read as one beige leather piece.

Large patches of the wrap are gone from the top and front of the receiver, the grip and the strap, leaving wide areas of metal. Remaining leather survives mostly in the middle of the side panels. In game the tan theme is still recognisable, but the gun looks patchy and heavily used. The bare metal magazine, barrel and stock look the same as on any other grade.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Baggage Collection with 15 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Warm browns, gold, cream and black stickers sit naturally on the tan leather and keep the travel-accessory theme. Paper or holo stickers in muted tones work best on the flat side of the receiver, where the leather texture is cleanest. Bright neon colours tend to clash with the beige wrap.

• Look at the float position within the wear grade, since the top edge of the receiver shows the difference first.
• Inspect the front corner of the receiver near the barrel and the grip edges for bare metal.
• Check the strap, as rubbing on it is easy to miss in small previews.
